who is Jesus Christ?

an angel of the lord appear to joseph in a dream saying: mary will conceive a son, and his name shall be Jesus, for he will save his people from sin.
Baptism and His Ministry

Message of His ministry
Through His teachings, miracles and life he revealed the heart of God and the path to salvation. He called us to repent, transform, grow in faith and being reborn in spirit.

Matthew 4 17
"Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Jesus called for a complete change of mind, heart and life. Turning away from sin and growing closer to God.
Repentance comes from the Heart, when you truly want to change for the better, you will follow the ways of God and try to become every single day more like His son Jesus Christ.

salvation through faith
salvation comes through Jesus Christ when he died on the cross for our sins, when he paid a debt we as humans couldn't pay.
John 3 16
"For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
this is Gods love and the core of christianity.

Discipleship
He also called us to follow Him, and that we must leave behind our old ways, put God as the center of our lives, carry our cross daily, and love God with all our hearts, soul and mind. Persevering until the end, this is a lifelong journey of faithfulness.

The message was clear
- Make disciples of all nations
- Baptize them
- Teach them to obey God
- Be the light in the darkness of this world
- Be His witnesses to the ends of the world.
The dead and resurrection of jesus
Zechariah 9 9 "Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he; humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey"
Jesus enters Jerusalem on a donkey as crowds shout “Hosanna!” The Pharisees are furious because the people recognize Him as the Messiah.

The pharisees
Jesus exposes the hypocrisy of the Pharisees with parables and direct rebukes.
He calls them blind guides, serpents, and whitewashed tombs.
The Pharisees and chief priests felt threatened by Jesus authority, miracles, and teachings. Many started to follow Jesus by this time. They feared losing power and influence over the people. After He raised Lazarus from the dead, they wanted to kill Jesus.

Judas agrees to betray Jesus
The pharisees had been trying to kill Jesus for months but they feared the crowds. this is when Judas meet secretly with the pharisees and receive 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus
the last supper
Matthew 26

"Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, "The teacher says, "My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.""
21
As they were eating, Jesus said, "Assuredly, i say to you, one of you will betray me."
25
Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, "Is it I?" and Jesus said to him, "You have said it."
26
And as they were eating, Jesus took the Bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat, this is my body."
27
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "drink from it, all of you. For this is My Blood of the new covenant, wich is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Jesus Betrayed
36
then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to His disciples(Peter and the sons of zebedee), "sit here while i go and pray over there"
38
then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to the death. Stay here and watch with me".
Jesus went to pray and found His disciples sleeping and said "what? could you not watch with me one hour? watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
45 - 46
"Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the son of man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, my betrayer is at hand."
After this Jesus had to face the Sanhedrin, Peter denied Him 3 times, he was handed over to Pontius Pilate, and ultimately condemn to death.
Matthew 20 18 - 19
"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priest and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again."

Jesus Dies on the cross
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He paid a debt that we couldn't pay, the prophesies were completed. the will of His father was Finish. After being mocked, torture, spit on, and hated, Jesus still showed us mercy, grace and love whe he said,
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

HE IS RISEN
after 3 days Jesus rose from the dead, and an angel of the Lord said, "Do not be afraid, for i know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go Quickly and tell His disciples that He is Risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee, there you will se Him, behold, i have told you."

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that i have commanded you; And surely, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
AMEN.
